Im back into Mosaics after a 10 year gap and discovered a true love of this art form. I've also found this has helped me through a very dark patch in my life and now I've finally found what I was always meant to be doing. Its Therapy with a Capital T and i'm loving every part of it.

I'm a Happy Girl
I went to a huge market this morning and found this Ashford's Wheel ,I got it for $40.00 which is a bargain and its in perfect condition, so now all i have to do is learn how to use it properly. I'm so excited lol
Oh WOW Karen - no wonder you`re a happy girl! Id be positively ecstatic, what a BARGAIN!
I found The Joy of Handspinning website really usefull when I was learning as there are lots of videos (Im completely self taught on a wheel). I brought my wheel from an experienced spinner on one of my yahoo groups; she told me to pace myself by singing `row row row your boat` to myself as I was spinning, and treadle to the rythm & I really found that very helpfull to do.
Good luck with it - have fun & if you need any help / advice you`re always welcome to email me, though Im faaar from an expert :o)
Awwww Deborah thankyou so much, i've been really wanting one for a while but there so expensive so when i found this complete and perfect it was a must have lol I had a practise last night and loved it although things were a bit bumpy, but now i wont be able to get row row row your boat out of my head as i treadle away Thankyou hehe I'll have look for that website to thanks and if i do get stuck i'll holla lol Thanks so much again i really appreciate that cheers and happy days karen xoxoxo
Hallo, Karen, you lucky girl ! Congratulations with your Spinning Wheel - rokk- (rock)as we say in Norway. Now you can "rock around the clock" lol
Here at my house, we are going into a holiday modus, Easter egg, bunnies and chickens ! And it is snowing like its Christmas ! (outside)
I`m going to have a nice time together with my family. We are also going to celebrate my 50th birthday ! I dont like big parties, so its going to be a nice little family party.
