Felted Flower Hanging all finished

I think i've finished.  I had so much fun with this but as i dont usually do wet felting i think i needed to make the background a bit thicker but i'm so happy with it anyway. Now i just need to figure out how to hang it.  I've just put in on some black card to take the pic but i think it needs a frame of some sort. any suggestions ??
I've used Merino x , sari silk,  i did put some angelina in the centre of the flowers but its so hard to see in this pic.  All wet felted seperately and then needle felted together although i did have to put a stitch or 2 in to hold things in place. How does anyone usually combine multiple pieces together. ?

I'm ready for my next one lol

  2. Hi Karen, it's pretty. Love the way you stitched the flowers on so it looks "outstanding". I started the interest of wet felt first then find needle felt can do 3-D objects like dogs, mushrooms..... Now I love both and try to creat more and more. Thanks for sharing and inspired me a go.

Thankyou Terri, I usually love just needle felting to but lately i've been having an urge to wet felt so had to try. Cant wait to start another one now and hopefully will be able to incorporate both Wet and Needle together more often. So much fun plus good excercise lol

  4. I like the look of this type of piece mounted on an artist's canvas ... you know the inexpensive kind at the junky stores. You can paint them any color and the depth of the canvas gives a nice look if you paint the edges. Just a thought but it's what I like to do.

  5. I would get a canvas and paint it in contrasting colors. The canvas needs to be bigger than the piece and then stitch the piece to the canvas. I usually add bits by needle felting but you can leave wispy bits on the back and felt the flowers in as you go on the background.
