Im back into Mosaics after a 10 year gap and discovered a true love of this art form. I've also found this has helped me through a very dark patch in my life and now I've finally found what I was always meant to be doing. Its Therapy with a Capital T and i'm loving every part of it.

This is my version of our Hilda challenge that our teacher Kay Petal (Feltalive) put to her students. Hilda is a voluptous Pin-Up Character of the 1950"s created by Artist Duanne Bryers. This was such a fun challenge and even though i could not for the life of me get her face anywhere near what she looked like, i still had a ball bringing her to life my way.

I read through the Hilda challenge with my husband, and we cracked up! All of the entries based on her are great, and I just love the humor involved. Someday, I will get to take Kay's class!
